Meet Heather Hamilton – in the June 2008 Career Woman Feature Story
June 4, 2008
In this month’s feature story we’ll introduce you to Heather Hamilton, manager of Microsoft Staffing’s marketing candidate generation team, and the woman behind the very popular One Louder blog, which takes a fun, in-depth look at the work and life of a hiring manager inside a large corporation, and offers some great hints and insight for job hunters.
Heather began her career at Microsoft in 1999 and has held a number of different staffing positions while at the company. She is a sought after speaker, and her blogging efforts have garnered press from the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and the New York Times.
In this article you’ll learn valuable resume tips from Heather’s years of experience as a hiring manager, how to get what you want by – of all things – asking for it, and what exactly the Sydney Harbor Bridge has to do with personal growth.
I hope you enjoy this month’s feature, and be sure to check Heather’s blog on a regular basis. It’s a fun look inside one of the Seattle area’s biggest corporations.
