My Best Advice for Personal Success
June 23, 2010
Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a famous French writer, once said, “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” So dare to dream, but remember to create a plan of action to help you achieve your dreams. My best advice for achieving personal success:
Look in the mirror: Define yourself as a competitive product, challenge yourself by facing any weaknesses, and commit to making necessary improvements.
Get to know the competition: Competition is a fact of life. View it positively; embrace it; and see what you can learn from it. Strive to be your best by understanding yourself and who you are competing against.
Identify your goals and create your plan: Like using a roadmap to arrive at a destination, having a clear plan in place helps to ensure you are headed in the right direction and end at a desired location using the most direct route.
Don’t wait to get started: As the old saying goes, “There’s no time like the present.” Don’t let fear of the unknown hold you back.
Celebrate your successes: Don’t wait for others to shine a light on your accomplishments; give yourself encouragement and rewards that will help provide motivation and inspiration as you continue on your path to accomplish your dreams.
